I wanted to post this review in order to help any Java developers out there who are looking for a professional Java Calendar. I purchased the Mig Calendar component a month ago after reading a chat-wrap where it was recommended. Right now I'm in awe of how good it is. I've been programming in Java for 10 years now and I've actually created a couple of calendar components myself. When I think of the time spent programming and bug-fixing those components I try to remember that the Mig Calendar probably wasn't available then :-) Now here is my experience after the first month, in which time I have created a fully functional Calendar component which has pretty much all the features of for example Outlook Calendar or Mac iCal2 along with special requirments of my program. 1. It's extremly customizable and well designed. This ensures that you don't get stuck with a component that doesn't give you a chance to implement that really special thing that your customers undoubtely will ask for given time. This was very important to me. 2. Of course, what comes with that is a rich API, which makes it a little tough to learn in the beginning. But what helps here is that there are plenty of demo's with code as well as a detailed documentation and Javadoc. But prepare that you have to spend some time reading the documentation if you need to make special customizations. 3. The support is top-notch, as you can see when looking for example at the forum response times. I purchased a year of e-mail support and can't give it enough praise. Not only have all my questions been answered, but once I reported a bug which was for a very rare use-case and it was fixed almost instantly. Ok, as you see this is a glowing review and that's why I give the component 5 stars. It's simply the most professional component I've purchased. Of course it can be evaluated for free, so I would encourage anyone to just try it out, run some of the demos and make a simple example to start getting a feel for how the API works. Hope this helps someone, Best regards, Gath
