We can supply any ActiveReports license including new subscriptions, subscription renewals, lapsed subscription renewals, and additional developer licenses.

1 License is required per Developer - The SOFTWARE is licensed to you on a Developer Seat License basis. Developer Seat License basis means that you may perform an installation of the SOFTWARE for use in designing, testing and creating Developed Software by a single Developer on one or more computers, each with a single set of input devices, so long as 1) such computer/computers is/are used only by one single Developer at any given time and not concurrently and, 2) the user is the primary User to whom the license has been granted. Conversely, you may not install or use the SOFTWARE on a computer that is a network server or a computer at which the SOFTWARE is used by more than one Developer. You may not network the SOFTWARE or any component part of it, where it is or may be used by more than one Developer unless you purchase an additional Development License for each Developer. You must purchase another separate license to the SOFTWARE in order to add additional developer seats, whether the additional developers are accessing the SOFTWARE in a stand-alone environment or on a computer network.

Applications created with ActiveReports can be distributed Run-Time Royalty free.

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

ActiveReports licenses are perpetual and optionally include 1 Year Maintenance. You may continue to use the purchased product after your maintenance period ends.

What happens after my maintenance period expires?

You may continue to use ActiveReports after your maintenance period ends, however you will not have access to new releases and telephone support unless you purchase a Maintenance Renewal.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or send us a message to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade?

Yes - an Upgrade License allows you to upgrade to the latest version of ActiveReports, at a lower price than purchasing a new license.

Can I buy an old product version?

GrapeCity does not offer previous versions for sale directly, but if you purchase a new license for ActiveReports, GrapeCity will be glad to provide you with the version of the product that you need. Simply submit a support ticket.

Do I need to buy a license for my build machine?

Yes. You need a separate license for your build machines.

Do I need to purchase licenses for my customers?

No. ActiveReports includes royalty-free redistribution. As long as your customers are using ActiveReports as part of your product that they purchase, then they do not need a license. The assemblies required to run ActiveReports may be included as part of your product installation at no additional cost.

Is Source Code available?

No. Source Code is not available for ActiveReports.

What type of support do I get?

All licensed users have access to the ActiveReports Forums, which have an active customer base and input from the technical support team.

Users with urgent questions can submit a ticket through GrapeCity's online form.

Users with a current Annual Maintenance subscription can contact the technical suport team via phone, and unlimited tickets. Annual maintenance is an additional component, which can be purchased with a new license of ActiveReports.
