Updates in Redgate SQL Monitor v8.0.24

  • Show query plan from Blocking processes tree. The query plan can now be viewed from within the Server Overview Blocking Processes tree.
  • Custom metrics can now be run against Azure SQL databases.

  • SB-5906 Licensing issue for new installs fixed.
  • SB-5890 Server components installer will not now reboot the target machine.
  • SB-5892 DISKRETRYCOUNT no longer counts the initial attempt to create a new folder (formerly DISKRETRYCOUNT = 0 would not create a backup at all).
  • SB-5893 Reverted to Windows file copy for performance reasons.
  • SB-5894 User interface can now handle ERASEFILES_PRIMARY/SECONDARY options.
  • SB-5895 Improve speed by preallocating backup file (needs registry key to use).
  • SB-5896 Restores now support the SQL Server RESTART option.
  • SB-5898 Improve memory usage when uploading large files to AWS.
  • SB-5904 Create file part size depending on the size of the file when uploading files to AWS.

  • #126314 The global dashboard would fail to display if you had Azure SQL databases with the same name on two servers.
  • #127079 Fixed Custom Metric links from dashboard not working. Custom Metric alerts now appear separately from each other as different alert types.
  • #126954 Fixed handling of special characters in group names in alert inbox server tree.
  • SRP-11733 Fixed uncaught type error on alert details page.
