Server Enhancements

• Built-in web designer - New web designer to create and edit dashboards is integrated with the dashboard server.
• Integration with user management server - Authentication and Authorization system with the ability to manage dashboard server and data integration platform applications, users and their access privileges.
• Presenting dashboards as slideshow - Dashboards and widgets in the dashboard server can be added as slides and presented as a slideshow in a TV or large monitor.
• Customizable password settings - Password policy for user login to the dashboard server can now be defined by the administrator.

Dashboard Capabilities

• Global filtering - Apply filters across dashboard tabs in a multi-tabbed dashboard from one filter panel.

Widget Enhancements

• Summary row in grid widget - Summary rows can be added to the grid widget to showcase the grand total or aggregated results.
• Formatting options in grid widget - Display formatting options such as, column header, value text alignment, and text wrapping are now available in grid widget.
• Advanced date customization in date picker widget - The date display format in the date picker can be customized now with more options.

Data Connection Enhancements

• Code view for SSAS and ODBC (ANSI SQL) connections - Code view is now supported for SSAS and ODBC ANSI SQL connected data sources.
• POST methods in web data source connection - Endpoint URLs of RESTful web service using POST methods are supported now in web data source connection.
• Stored procedures in ODBC (ANSI SQL) databases - Support provided to connect to stored procedures in applicable databases that are ODBC ANSI SQL92 compliant through ODBC (ANSI SQL) data connection.
• Custom OAuth for web data source - Custom OAuth based RESTful web services can now be connected through web data source connection.
• Joining SQL Server data sources - Different data sources from the same SQL Server database can be joined to show blended data in a widget.
• Connection switcher utility - A utility with user interface is now available to switch data source connections in one or more dashboards created or resaved in v3.2.

Designer Improvements

• Deferred update in Dashboard Designer - Successive data updates in widgets and preview panels on any user action when building a dashboard in the dashboard designer can be suspended optionally and executed on-demand.
