Fonctionnalités
- Altova AI for XML Development
- XMLSpy 2026r2 supports optional integration with the new Altova AI Server, which is available as an add-on subscription. The Altova AI Server is an Altova-hosted AI service that provides context-aware AI assistance directly within the XMLSpy editing environment to provide smart functionality, including:
- XML instance generation from XML Schemas - Altova AI reads an XML Schema and generates a realistic, semantically meaningful sample document. It doesn't just produce random valid data - it interprets the meaning of the schema elements and produces plausible content (realistic names, dates, addresses, etc.). This replaces what has historically been a tedious manual process for generating test data.
- XSLT and XQuery transformation creation - Simply specify a source document and a target document, and Altova AI generates a transformation that maps one to the other, saving a tremendous amount of time. You can then refine the XSLT or XQuery output using XMLSpy's existing editing, debugging, and optimization tools, if desired.
- AI Assistant chat window - This is a built-in chat interface that's aware of whatever file is currently open. Users can ask it to generate XML, JSON, schemas, and other content based on their current working context - no need to copy-paste code into an external tool. Note: the AI Assistant was previously available for activation with the customer's Open AI key. Now it is available via the Altova AI Server with no third-party account required.
- Altova AI Subscription - Altova AI is available via a subscription that customers purchase in addition to their product license. A Support and Maintenance Package (SMP) is required for purchasing Altova AI. Customers may purchase an Altova AI subscription at the same time as a new SMP or add it to an existing SMP subscription.
- Support for PostgreSQL 18
- XMLSpy and all database-enabled Altova software now support the latest version of PostgreSQL.
- Support for Eclipse 4.38 & 4.39
- XMLSpy supports seamless integration in the Eclipse IDE with new support added for the latest versions.
- Support for Taxonomy Packages in Altova Taxonomy Manager
- The Altova XBRL Taxonomy Manager in XMLSpy and all XBRL-enabled Altova software provides a centralized way to install and manage the XBRL taxonomies (and various versions thereof) required for your projects. The XBRL Taxonomy Manager now also natively supports XBRL Taxonomy Packages - standardized ZIP archives that bundle an XBRL taxonomy with all its related files and entry points into a single portable archive. Use of XBRL Taxonomy Packages by regulatory authorities is increasing due to this convenience and portability, and now it's even easier to work with them in XMLSpy. A key advantage of support for Taxonomy Packages in the XBRL Taxonomy Manager is that multiple versions of a Taxonomy Package can coexist on the same computer without conflict, allowing you to validate and work with files that reference different versions simultaneously.
- Updated XBRL-CSV Table Constraints 1.0 support
- XMLSpy 2026 included new support XBRL-CSV Table Constraints, a set of extensions that enable basic but extremely efficient validation checks on XBRL-CSV data. In Release 2, support has been updated to include the requirements laid out in the latest working draft of the standard.
