On 01-Sep-2021, Revenera/Flexera changed the licensing model of the InstallShield and AdminStudio product lines. All new licenses are now 3 year non-perpetual Timed Subscription licenses. Perpetual licenses are no longer available for purchase. At the end of the Timed Subscription, you have to renew the Subscription to continue to create new/edit existing installation scripts. If you have an existing Perpetual License with Maintenance Plan that was purchased before 1-Sep-2021 AND that Bronze/Silver/Gold Maintenance Plan has not expired, you can renew that active Maintenance Plan for an additional year. If you let that Perpetual License Maintenance Plan expire, you will be required to buy a new Timed Subscription (non-perpetual) license to continue to receive upgrades and support.

    • The new Windows 10 20H2 version will appear in the following:
      • Test Selection Wizard - In version 2020 R2 SP1 you can select Windows 10-20H2 build in the Test selection wizard to test the operating system compatibility.
      • Analyze Tab - In this release you can view the operating system compatibility details for Windows 10-20H2 in the following places:
        • Group Chart View.
        • Summary View.
        • Detail View.
      • Reports Tab - In this release you can see the operating system compatibility for Windows 10-20H2 in the following reports:
        • Application Readiness Dashboard Report.
        • Operating System Compatibility Group Dashboard Report.
        • Overall Package Testing Results Report.
        • Windows Desktop OS Compatibility Dashboard Report.
        • Test Impact Report.
        • Test Suppression Report.
        • Snapshot Analysis Report.
  • AdminStudio and Multi-Tenant FlexNet Manager Suite (On-Premises) Integration - AdminStudio can now integrate with Multi-tenant FlexNet Manager Suite (On-Premises) via Flexera Service Gateway. This integration enables you to fetch Flexera Identifier for applications in AdminStudio catalog from a multi-tenant FlexNet Manager Suite (On-prem) environment.
  • Retaining of Test Rules Selections in an Upgraded Catalog - All your test rule selections in the various test categories like Operating System Application Compatibility, MSIX Conversion Compatibility, Best Practices, etc in your current application catalog will be retained even after the catalog is upgraded to the new version of AdminStudio.
