  • Common
    • Added a new Pager component (Preview) - The Blazor Pager component has an option to split a data set into multiple pages using an intuitive UI.
      • Navigation can be done with built-in numeric elements, drop down, and buttons that can also be customized.
      • It acts intelligently and changes its UI responsively based on the dimension.
      • It ensures that every pager element is keyboard accessible and has complete WAI-ARIA accessibility support.
      • The Pager comes with several built-in SASS-based themes such as Fluent, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap 5, Bootstrap 4, Bootstrap, Material, Fabric, and high contrast that are also customizable.
    • End of support for Microsoft .NET 5 - Syncfusion Blazor components no longer support .NET 5, although .NET 3.1 and .NET 6 will continue to be supported.
      • It is recommended that you upgrade to .NET 6 to take advantage of new features and components in the latest release. If you are unable to update to .NET 6, you can continue to use version 20.1 in your .NET 5 projects.
  • Preview to production
    • The Blazor Diagram and Carousel components have been developed to meet industry standards. The components are now marked as production-ready for Blazor.
  • Carousel
    • Pause on hover - This feature allows users to play or pause slides when hovering the mouse pointer over the Carousel element.
    • Custom animation - This feature provides an option to define custom animations.
  • Charts
    • Shared tooltip template - Added the ability to use templates (HTML elements) as content for shared tooltips.
  • Data Grid
    • Inline editing with virtualization - Allows users to perform CRUD operations directly on rows which are in the current view.
    • Sticky header - Users can now cause the Data Grid header to be in a fixed position when scrolling.
  • Diagram
    • Context menu - This feature allows users to easily access frequently used operations. By default, cut, copy, paste, undo, redo, group, ungroup, and select all menu items are displayed when the mouse is right clicked. Menu items can also be customized.
    • Complex hierarchical tree layout - Arranges nodes in a tree-like structure, where the child node can have more than one parent.
    • Z-Order - This feature allows users to control the stacking order (Z-Order) of diagram elements such as nodes, connectors, and groups. Also, users can arrange selected objects on the diagram with Z-order values using the following features:
      • Bring to front.
      • Bring forward.
      • Send to back.
      • Send backward.
    • Expand and collapse - This feature allows users to show or hide child nodes in a diagram by user interaction or programmatically.
    • Reset zoom - This feature allows users to reset the current zoom value of the diagram page to 100%.
  • Dialog
    • Predefined dialog with a utility method - The Blazor Dialog component now allows you to render and show 'confirm', 'alert', and 'prompt' dialogs on demand by calling public utility methods.
  • Word Processor
    • Track changes - restriction type - This feature restricts users from accepting or rejecting tracked changes, while editing a Microsoft Word document.
    • Paragraph border - This feature allows users to add borders to paragraphs in a Word document.
    • RTL text enhancements:
      • Display the RTL text in a bi-directional layout.
      • Select and navigate bi-directionally.
      • Insert the input RTL text in a bi-directional layout.
  • Gantt Chart
    • Observable collection - Added support for binding ObservableCollection type data to the Gantt Chart, and receiving notifications for data changes in all Gantt Chart operations.
    • Column virtualization - Added the ability to load multiple columns by rendering only the columns in the current view, while other column elements render dynamically upon scrolling.
    • Touch interaction to taskbar - Added the ability to move or resize taskbars, as well as map task bar dependencies using touch.
    • Tooltip for taskbar editing - Added the ability to show a tooltip with current date values when dragging or moving the taskbar in a Gantt Chart. Users can easily identify the new date values while dragging.
  • Input Mask
    • Include literals in values - The Blazor Input Mask component now provides the option to obtain a value with literal characters.
  • Maps
    • Extended geometry type support - Blazor Maps now support rendering GeoJSON files with “MultiLineString”, “MultiPoint”, and “GeometryCollection” geometry types.
    • Legend support for online map providers - Legend support is now provided for markers rendered over online map providers such as OSM, Bing, Mapbox, and others. Additionally, a legend for layers and markers on sublayers over online map providers is supported.
  • PDF Library
    • The Syncfusion .NET PDF Library now supports the creation of PDF/A-4 documents and the conversion of existing PDF documents to PDF/A-4.
    • RichMedia annotation - RichMedia annotations can now be used to embed videos and sound files in PDF documents.
    • Watermark annotation - The .NET PDF Library now supports watermark annotations which are used to show text, images and shapes with a fixed size and position. It supports the following features:
      • Text, images and graphical shapes.
      • Rotation to 0, 90, 180 and 270 degree angles.
      • Customization as a print-only watermark (annotation disappears in view mode).
      • Existing watermark annotations can be edited or removed.
    • HTML-to-PDF conversion enhancements - The Blink binaries have been updated to the latest version to improve conversion quality and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Pivot Table
    • Display grand totals at top/bottom - Added the ability to display the summarized totals (grand totals).
    • Events for toolbar UI actions - UI actions in the Pivot Table’s toolbar options such as report, switch between table and chart views, show/hide totals, formatting, and show field list can now be identified using the action begin and action complete events. The action failure event is triggered when a UI action does not achieve the desired result.
  • Query Builder
    • Complex data binding support - This feature allows users to create subfields for columns by specifying either a complex data source or nested columns.
  • Rich Text Editor
    • Insert text programmatically in Markdown editor - The Rich Text Editor now allows you to insert text programmatically in the Markdown editor at the current cursor position.
  • Scheduler
    • Context menu improvement - The Blazor Scheduler component now allows you to get mouse target element information by calling a public method. This helps you show a context menu based on the current target.
  • Tree Grid
    • Inline editing with virtualization - Allows users to do CRUD operations on rows which are in the current view.
    • Frozen columns with virtualization - You can freeze specific columns while scrolling through other columns.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Extension
    • Added a tooltip and help link in the Syncfusion Blazor Code Generator that explains the component fields.
  • Word Library
    • Word-to-image conversion - The Syncfusion .NET Word (DocIO) Library is now capable of converting a Word document into images on Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Apple macOS.
    • Word-to-PDF conversion enhancements - The Syncfusion Word Library includes the following enhancements for converting any Word document to a PDF file:
      • Performance has been improved on Linux when processing high-resolution images in the header or footer.
      • Performance has been improved on Linux when converting a document with Unicode characters.
      • DotDotDashHeavy, DottedHeavy, and Thick underline styles now render as they are in the input Word document.
      • PDF documents now render properly for landscape pages when mirror margins are applied.
