Updates in this release

Updates in 2014

  • XML Schema 1.1 Support - The Liquid XML Schema model now supports the XSD 1.1 standard. This adds many useful constructs including asserts, openContent and alternatives. These constructs can be modeled and edited graphically and compliant documents can then be validated against XSD 1.1 schemas.
  • Choice of XSD Engines - The XML and XSD validation processor now supports a plug-in architecture which makes it possible to select from a choice of validation engines. The engines also operate asynchronously providing background validation as you type. The 2014 edition supports the .NET 4.0 XSD Engine and the Xerces XSD Engine.
  • In-line XSD Properties and Annotations - All property values (set or inherited) are shown in-line, making it much easier to read schemas.
  • Improved Support for Type Restrictions - Liquid XML Studio 2014 introduces a Restrictions editor. This makes it possible to see which entities are available in the restricted type, and also see the effective properties on each entity.
