ComponentSpace Who Is Component is written in 100% managed C# code, the class library offers .NET developers the ability to perform domain registration lookups from within their applications. Complete source code available. ComponentSpace Who Is Component is 64-bit, .NET Framework 4 and Visual Studio 2010 compatible.

ComponentSpace Who Is Component may be used in any Windows or Web application by adding a reference to the assembly to access the classes in the KeyTech.WhoIs namespace. ComponentSpace Who Is Component is 64bit, .NET Framework 4 and VS2010 compatible.

The WhoIsClient class instigates Whois database lookups. You specify the question to ask and receive the response. The lookup either may be performed synchronously (blocking) using the Lookup method or asynchronously (non-blocking) using the BeginLookup and EndLookup methods. For asynchronous calls you may receive completion notification either through an event or a callback method. A timeout may be specified.

All classes that raise events support a SynchronizingObject property. All classes report errors through the WhoIsException.
