MadCap Contributor 8 adds Advanced Table Sorting

MadCap Contributor allows content contributors to edit and review topics, make annotations and update content with a simple, easy-to-use interface. Tight integration with MadCap Flare makes MadCap Contributor an essential tool in the contribution and review process.

• Advanced Table Sorting - Sort tables by choosing which columns to sort first.
• Change Bars - When you track changes in a document, you can now use change bars to identify new, revised or deleted text.
• Conditions on Styles - Associate a condition with a style by using a property in the Advanced View of the Stylesheet Editor.
• Equation Editor - You can now use a third-party editor outside of Contributor to create equations written in MathML or LaTeX.
• Insert Page Break - Manually insert a page break at any location within a topic.
• Link to Styles - When creating a link you can now point it to content using a particular style.
• Macros - Assign Shortcuts in Dialog - Keyboard shortcuts can now be assigned to macros in the Manage Macros dialog.
• Smart Quotes per Language - Contributor now replaces quotes based on your project's current language.
• Snippet Conditions - If you are going to use the same snippet multiple times in a single topic, you can apply conditions at snippet level. Conditions at the snippet level override snippet conditions applied at the topic level.
• Stylesheet Editor Redesign - The Stylesheet Editor has undergone a complete redesign, including a redesigned properties pane, with alphabetical and grouped views plus expand/collapse options.
• System Variables use Language - When displayed in Contributor, system variables no longer use the language of the operating system, instead the language set in the Flare project is used.
• XML Editor Enhancements - You can now select additional layout modes in the XML Editor, which allows you to see how content will look in Tablet or Mobile mode as well as in Web or Print mode.
• Added 64-Bit Support.
