- Composite Charts - Use the new composite charts in RDL and Page Reports to create complex visualization with multiple Y-axes. You can now work with plotting several metrics merging line, bar, area plots on the same chart.
- Native Support for JSON Data - Source data from JSON files, web services and REST API using the new built in JSON data provider. You can also define a JSON Schema to make referencing the columns in your report design user friendly. The JSON schema can also be used to validate the datasource at runtime.
- Native Support for CSV Files - With the new built in CSV Data Provider, you can use comma separated, tab separated and other plain text files as datasources for your reports. The flexible CSV parsing wizard helps configure the data provider for text identifiers, delimiters and a host of other options.
- Improved XML Data Provider - A simplified user interface, a XML Query Designer and support for web service based XML sources are just a few of the enhancements we have added to the XML Data Provider in ActiveReports 11.
- Import Report Layouts from Excel Files - Create RDL report layouts in ActiveReports by importing Excel files. You can specify repeating rows, text regions, and other data controls and map them from cells to ActiveReports Report Items. You can also use Excel as an intermediary file for importing your report layouts from other report design tools.
- PDF RE (Rendering Extension) Enhancements - ActiveReports 11 includes an optimized PDF RE to improve resultant file sizes and speed of export. Advanced settings for printing presets in the exported PDF file properties are also available in the Pro Edition.
- Galley Mode For HTML5 Viewer - The HTML5/JS Viewer now has a Galley Mode button to view large reports in a page-less viewer. This is specially beneficial when working with Dashboard reports and Tablix controls where the report can grow horizontally as well as vertically.
