  • Support for secure SSL and SSH connections to Oracle in Direct mode - Now you can connect to both on-premises Oracle and Oracle Database Cloud via secure SSL/TLS and SSH protocols in Direct connection mode.
    • The SSL protocol can be enabled by adding the “tcps://” prefix to the Host connection parameter. You can either specify the necessary SSL certificate in the Advanced connection parameters as a base64 encoded string, or store it in Oracle Wallet and specify the wallet location.
    • For the SSH protocol, Excel Add-in for Oracle supports public key and password SSH authentication. You can specify authentication type, SSH user name and password or a private key and passphrase, acceptable ciphers, SSH host and port, etc. in the Advanced parameters when setting up a connection to Oracle. To enable SSH for a connection, you need to add the “ssh://” prefix to the Host (or Server) connection string parameter.
