One software license is required per machine.
Run-time NOT royalty free, each and every PDFlib installation needs its own license, it is a requirement that each machine running PDFLib (in development, or as a user of an end-user application containing PDFLib) has a license.

Example 1: A software company wishes to install PDFlib on their system. They have a team of 4 developers who will need to work with PDFlib on their local machines.
License needed: 4 Machine Licenses
Example 2: A software company wishes to install PDFlib to a server with 1 CPU. They have a team of 4 developers who access the server but the component is always executed on the server.
License needed: 1 Machine License
Example 3: The same situation as Example 2, but the server has 2 CPUs.
License needed: 1 Machine License

Annual Support is available to purchase with new product licenses or to renew an existing support contract:
The support contract is for 12 months and includes:

• Technical support with short response times
• All minor (maintenance) and major (functional) updates
• Early availability of bug fixes
