Telerik überarbeitet die .NET-Unterstützung

Ab 2024 werden Telerik .NET Produkte ausschließlich .NET Framework 4.6.2+ und .NET 6.0+ unterstützen.

What is changing?

As part of Telerik's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions at the highest security and performance standards, it has announced an important update. Starting with the upcoming releases, its .NET-based products (listed at the end of this article) will exclusively support .NET Framework 4.6.2 and above, and .NET 6.0 and above. The last release supporting older framework versions is scheduled for the end of January 2024. After that, Telerik will provide one full year of support services for that release to ensure a smooth transition.

Which versions of .NET are affected?

Support for the following .NET versions is ending:

Why is this changing?

By targeting .NET Framework 4.6.2 and .NET 6.0, Telerik is aligning with Microsoft’s lowest-supported framework versions for .NET Framework and .NET, respectively. This enables compatibility with Microsoft’s ongoing updates and support to deliver a more robust and secure experience to you. A shift to modern framework versions brings a host of benefits including:

Security Certification Compliance: Using actively supported frameworks and certified tools is a prerequisite to certifying for the generally recognized security compliance certificates, e.g., SAMM Level 2 and above.

Text Control DS Server 3.2.0 kann jetzt Dokumente als Vektordaten im Online-Dokumenteneditor darstellen.

Text Control DS Server is an on-premise document services back-end for document processing. It includes a Microsoft Word compatible document editor, a lightweight document viewer, and a powerful document processing API.

Version 3.2.0 adds support for a new SVG rendering mode within the online document editor, improving performance in scenarios such as limited bandwidth or elevated ping times. By default the editor automatically determines the most suitable rendering method based on factors such as bandwidth availability.

The MPlatform SDK is a professional multimedia software development kit that supports native C#, VB.NET, VB6, Visual C++, and Embarcadero Delphi, allowing you to create broadcast automation, ingest, and video mixing applications.

MPlatform SDK v2.8 adds support for AV1 NVIDIA hardware encoding and decoding. AV1 is a next-generation video codec that offers superior compression efficiency and image quality compared to older codecs like H.264 and HEVC. NVIDIA GPU hardware encoding is much faster than CPU-based encoding. Hardware decoding allows users to play back AV1 video with lower CPU usage and power consumption. The addition of hardware encoding/decoding to the MPlatform SDK makes working with high-resolution AV1 streams more efficient and practical.

Office Server Document Converter (OSDC) 10.0 R1 kann jetzt Ihre Excel-, Word- und PowerPoint-Dokumente zur Archivierung in PDF/A konvertieren.

Office Server Document Converter (OSDC) is a server-side library for converting Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and RTF documents to PDF, SVG, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, INX and XPS files, all without Microsoft Office or Adobe software on the server.

The 10.0 R1 release adds support for converting to PDF/A-1a, PDF/A-2a, PDF/A-2u, PDF/A-3a, PDF/A-3b and PDF/A-3u. PDF/A is a variation of the PDF file format that is specifically designed to be preserved for a long time. PDF/A files contain all of the information needed to display them accurately, regardless of the software or hardware used to view them, making the format ideal for archival and sharing purposes.

The 2023.11.7 release of IronPDF for .NET allows a table of contents (TOC) to be automatically generated for the document. Typically placed at the beginning of the document, this list of headings and corresponding page numbers makes it easy for readers to find specific information quickly.
