Updates in RayEval 8.0

Funktionen

• Capturing Documentation with Windows Sandbox
  • Added support for using Windows Sandbox as the virtualization engine for sandboxed execution, expanding options beyond the previous support for Workstation and vSphere and Hyper-V environments.
  • This new capability allows users to leverage Windows Sandbox for a more lightweight and isolated environment for starting setups and capturing their output.
  • With Windows Sandbox, you can now perform documentation tasks more efficiently and securely, without the need for a full virtual machine setup.
• Rich-Text Formatting in Steps
  • Added support for rich-text formatting within steps (screenshots and text-only), enhancing readability and customization.
  • Users can add formatted text to screenshot descriptions, and pasting content directly from the clipboard now includes rich-text styling and images.
• Other Improvements
  • When calling rayeval.exe it is now possible to specify two additional parameters for the output locations. This is primarily for scenarios where RayEval is launched from an external application with the intention of using specific output folders as defaults.
  • Improved capture engine to properly capture screenshots of context menus.
  • Added confirmation window when clicking on "Run setup" button.
  • The basic tool bar is now displayed even when the main window is inactive. Previously, it was only visible after minimizing RayEval windows.
  • Added text wrapping for long labels in the Fields screen.
  • RayEval now uses Windows Credentials Store for RayFlow connectivity, and is able to reuse login session from other RayPack Studio products.
  • It is now possible to use floating license with MSIX-based deployment of RayEval.

• Fixed an issue where project could not be opened again when saved after snapshot comparison.
• Fixed crashes when trying to edit a previously replaced picture.
• Fixed wrong export to PDF/DOC/DOCX of multiline comments.
• Corrected various language and translation issues.
• Corrected the problem where the currently active hotkey text displayed in the toolbar did not reflect the current configuration.
• Fixed automatic restore of default configuration after restarting RayEval.
• Adjusted minor issues with the default template set.
• Fixed incorrect values inserted in DATETIME variable placeholders.
• Resolved empty data fields in PDF report when RayEval was started from RayFlow client.
• Fixed an issue where larger images could not be edited due to loss of focus.
