PACE Suite is an all-in-one packaging solution that facilitates the fast deployment of projects of all sizes. Suitable for freelancers, enterprise IT departments, and large development companies alike, it provides the tools needed to create software packages and manage future updates with ease. The intuitive interface and a number of helpful wizards makes packaging as simple as possible, while still providing a full set of advanced features. PACE Suite editions have a friendly per-engineer licensing model, which allows you to keep costs low. PACE Suite is always up to date with 2 new major versions every year. PACE Suite consists of MSI Generator, MSI Editor, Quality Approver and DOCU Generator.

For Packagers:

  • Multiple package formats support: MSI, MSIX, APPV, THINAPP, IntuneWin, and MSIX App Attach.
  • Repackaging on localhost, Windows Sandbox, Docker, virtual machines (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle VirtualBox).

  • Preparation for deployment with PSAppDeployToolkit & Microsoft Intune Integration.
  • Automatic checks for package quality, safety, and deployment readiness.

For App Developers:

  • Automated MSI creation for CI/CD: generate MSI installers effortlessly directly from the command line.
  • Dynamic harvesting for set of files when building MSI.
  • Intuitive UI and wizards: easy configuration of installer projects for non-MSI engineers, guided setup process.

With PACE you can:

  • Repackage any installation into a pure Windows Installer (MSI, MST), MSIX/AppX or Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) and VMware Application Virtualization (ThinApp) packages.
  • Create and edit virtual (App-V, ThinApp) packages.
  • Create and edit Windows Installer (MSI) packages, Transforms (MST) for customizing packages and Patch (MSP) packages for delivering application updates.
  • Publish packages to Microsoft SCCM servers.
  • Automate routine packaging tasks by running predefined or own scripts against MSI database.
  • Test packages for quality, best practices and custom rules.
  • Share templates, package creation rules and options, exclusion filters with your team.
  • Estimate package complexity and generate package documentation.

PACE Suite contains the following components:

MSI Generator

  • Repackage any existing installation into Windows Installer, MSIX/AppX or a virtual format (Microsoft App-V 5.x, and VMware ThinApp).
  • Auto-detection of embedded installers.
  • Tune any existing Windows Installer package by applying your settings and saving them as a Windows Installer transform (MST).
  • Include the excluded files/registry back to a package.

MSI Editor

  • Manage the contents of an MSI in a tree view.
  • Import the desired resources.
  • Edit and manage Custom Actions.
  • Integrate scripts into your package.
  • Use a smart and advanced MSI database editor, with formatted string autocompleting, Excel-like formula bar, row reference tracking, and more.
  • Create patches (MSP).
  • Handle upgrades easily – just let MSI Editor know which MSI you want to be upgraded at runtime.
  • Publish your applications to Microsoft SCCM.
  • See the estimated complexity of an app right away.
  • Generate package documentation containing the details about your package and configuration.
  • Undo-redo any manipulation and see the changes highlighted in the MSI tables.

Quality Approver

  • Test MSI (+MST) package and its apps for compliance with the Desktop App Certification Program in an unattended mode. This will check the package safety, compatibility and readiness for deployment.
  • Test an MSIX/APPX package (bundle) and its apps against the Microsoft Store requirements in an unattended mode.

DOCU Generator

  • Automatically record your on-screen actions into a nice-looking document with screenshots and annotations.
