ISIS Xpress Features
Multi-Streaming Support

• ISIS Xpress supports scanners with multi-stream technology and can simultaneously capture any two images from each scan (color, grayscale, and/or bitonal). Depending on the scanner, it can enable duplex (front and back) and/or multi-streaming. Duplex with multi-streaming yields four images per sheet. Scanning modes could include full-color, black-and-white, grayscale, binary, or RGB color dropout.

Compression & Decompression

• Compress to standard document image file formats, including:
  • TIFF (Raw, Packbits, CCITT Group 3, CCITT Group 3 Modified, CCITT Group 4)
  • Color and grayscale sequential JPEG
  • DCX
• In .NET, also output to:
  • Bitmap
  • HBITMAP
• In ActiveX, also output to:
  • HDib

Scanner Support

• ISIS Xpress enables complete control over all high-speed ISIS®-driven scanners supported by EMC Corporation’s PixTools. With ISIS Xpress you can:
  • Scan directly to memory and allow saving of compressed images.
  • Get resolution ranges from 50 dots-per-inch (dpi) to over 2400 dpi.
  • Support automatic feeder, printer/endorsers, and transparency units.
  • Interface using SCSI, USB, serial port, video, parallel port, GPIB, and proprietary interfaces.
  • Manage PixTools driver locations.
• Scanners supported include Canon, Agfa, Bell & Howell, Epson, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, InoTec, Kodak Alaris, Microtek, Konica Minolta, Panasonic, Ricoh, Sharp, Umax, and others.
