On October 1st 2014 Red Gate Software retired Deployment Manager.
You may continue to use the product however no further development will be done.
Red Gate will offer support for Deployment Manager until 1st October 2015.

Deployment Manager server Requirements

The Deployment Manager server requires:

  • Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008R2, Windows Server 2012, or Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate edition.
    (Windows 7 Home Editions are not supported. Deployment Manager server is not supported on Windows Server 2003, but target machines are.)
  • .NET Framework 4.0 (download the installer from Microsoft)
  • Windows PowerShell 2.0 or later- This is automatically installed on 2008 R2, but for 2008 pre-R2 you need to install it.

Target machines
Machines you want to deploy to require:

  • Windows Server 2003 or later
    (Windows Server 2003 servers require Windows Management Framework.)
  • .NET Framework 4.0 (download the framework installer from Microsoft)
  • Windows PowerShell 2.0 or later - This is automatically installed on 2008 R2, but for 2008 pre-R2 you need to install it.
