Chart FX 7 lässt sich nahtlos in Visual Studio integrieren und stellt Entwicklern somit Datenvisualisierungsfunktionalität auf Enterprise-Ebene bereit. Chart FX 7 zieht vollen Nutzen aus dem .NET Framework und aus innovativen Technologien, wie z. B. AJAX, um visuell ansprechende, schlanke und sichere Diagramme zu erstellen, welche die Ansichtsebene Ihrer Enterprise-Anwendung erweitern. Benutzern von Chart FX 7 steht ein kostenloses Chart FX Silverlight-Addon zur Verfügung, damit Entwickler ihre Silverlight-basierte Web-Anwendungen mit Chart FX-Funktionalität ausstatten können. Chart FX 7 verfügt zudem über eine neue DHTML-Rendering-Engine, die von AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) Gebrauch macht, um Diagramme zu erzeugen, die vollkommene Interaktivität erlauben und States in Webanwendungen unterstützen. Chart FX unterstützt eine Vielzahl an Dateneintragungsmethoden, wie z. B. die direkte Übermittlung von Daten über die API, Resultset-Bindung, XML-Dateien, Sammlungen, Arrays, Arrays von Arrays, Textdateien und Kreuztabellen. Developers can easily maximize their web applications potentials with Chart FX' s many internet enabled features. Among these features is the ability to bit-stream directly to a browser, a Web Forms enabled component, auto browser detection and response and drill-down capabilities. Chart FX also supports a vast variety of data population methods, including, passing data directly through the API, Resultset Binding, XML Files, Collections, Arrays, Arrays of Arrays, Text Files and Crosstab. A free Chart FX Silverlight Add-on is available to Chart FX 7 users to allow developers to add ChartFX functionality to their Silverlight-based web applications. The Chart FX Silverlight Add-On is composed of two components:

  • The Chart FX Silverlight Add-On Client
  • The Chart FX Silverlight Add-On Server

The Client is embedded in your Silverlight application and requests the chart from the Chart FX Silverlight Add-On Server. Upon receiving the request, the Server sends back the chart in XAML format for the Client to render within your Silverlight application.
