We have been looking for a generic document viewer that we can OEM and use within our Correspondences management system. We evaluated more than 5 products and compare their technology, supported document formats, features, Arabic support and licensing scheme. Our team selected GroupDocs.Total for .NET from Aspose as we need more features than viewing documents.

GroupDocs.Total for .NET supported all the documents types that our product need to archive and view. It provided all the required features for our system such as navigation, zoom, rotation, printing and downloading in original format in addition to the ability to add watermarks. It even gives us the opportunity to move to other platforms such as Java which is considered important for our future plan for our products.

Arabic support is considered as a major factor in our selection process as we tried viewing Arabic content and it works fine. The license options were also a major factor in our selection process. The license scheme is so flexible and affordable for budget product as it allows us to upgrade based on our needs in the future and the OEM License that will not affect our overall price to our customers.

The development process to integrate GroupDocs.Viewer into our .NET application was easy. We integrated the backend .NET API with our code specially integrating with the API that streams the document bytes into our storage. The viewer was easily integrated with our HTML5/JavaScript Correspondences management system and with the UI customization features were able to have the same look and feel as if GroupDocs.Viewer is part of our product.
