VectorDraw Ray Tracing Engine(vdRay) is an add-on library to the VectorDraw Developers Framework (VDF) that gives you the ability to export photo-realistic images from your application. Easy and simple , vdRay will help you create nice images and also videos from your vdml files. Simply add some materials to your 3d objects , adjust the lighting , camera and export an image that supports shadows , mirrors , reflections and more. VDF (VectorDraw Developers Framework) 3D capabilities due to user interaction cannot offer effects that give photo-realism to the render output , this is where vdRay comes in, the add-on fulfills the need for better rendering output.

The VectorDraw Ray Tracing Engine -vdRay- is a component that can create photorealistic images using ray tracing algorithms. Through the Vector Draw component, all the existing vdDraw documents and drawings can be rendered taking into consideration certain properties such as reflection, transparency, surface roughness etc. The vdRay component is very easy to use and the visual benefits are obvious. Effects that can't be created with the current Vector Draw render machine (shadows, glass objects, mirrors and more) are now possible with Vector Draw Ray Tracing Engine - vdRay.

What you should know about vdRay:

  • The export of this library is mainly bitmap images(jpg,png,tiff,bmp,gif) and also a vdrv format which is a Vectordraw video format.
  • This product does not have a different license it follows the VDF annual license.
  • You cannot purchase this product as standalone, you have to be a VDF client in order to use and purchase add-on library.
  • You pay only once for this product , it's price is to obtain the right to use this add-on in conjuction with the VDF libraries. As long as you renew your VDF libraries you continue to have the right to use this product also.
  • The licenses of this product are equal to the VDF licenses you own. For example if you own 3 licenses of VDF then by paying the standard fixed price for vdRay library you otain 3 licenses of vdRay for your developers.
  • vdRay (as VDF is) is royalty free
