Appmethod is an object-oriented, visual programming environment for rapid application development (RAD). Using Appmethod, you can create highly efficient visual applications with a minimum of manual coding using the Object Pascal programming language. Appmethod provides all the tools you need to model applications, design user interfaces, automatically generate and edit code. It also gives you tools to compile, debug, and deploy applications.

  • UI - Components that provide a standard set of controls needed to deliver amazing user experiences. From buttons, to listviews, to tab management, Appmethod provides over 100 native, cross-platform UI controls with a common API.
  • Data - Easily connect to SQL databases, locally or remotely, and convert that data into accessible info in the UI. Appmethod also provides a local embedded database and Enterprise database.
  • Enterprise - Expose Enterprise data or custom APIs through Appmethod’s middleware, SOAP, and/or REST/JSON and easily manage client data with caching, in memory dataset management, and delta differencing.
  • Cloud - Easily integrate any REST or SOAP based service including MBaaS services such as Parse and Kinvey.
  • Tools - The tools you need to build apps fast: a full-featured IDE, high performance tool chains, integrated remote debuggers and analysis tools.

Where can I deploy my apps to with Appmethod?
The Individual and Business plans allow you to publish to any public app store including Google Play, Apple App Store, the Amazon App Store, and any other public app store available or public website. Deploying internally to enterprises requires the Business plan.

What kind of support is included?
The Individual and Business plans both include support for getting started or installation issues you might have. The Business edition also includes 3 support incidents for more detailed support questions that involve writing or modifying code.

With which languages can I write Appmethod apps?
Appmethod apps can be written in Object Pascal with C++ available in the coming months (as of April 2014).

What is the Appmethod Enterprise Mobility Services?
Appmethod Enterprise Mobility Services is an add-on for Appmethod Business that can be used to securely expose APIs over REST/JSON, access Enterprise data with the included SQL database connectors, and provide a secure, embedded and server database. Connect to your Enterprise SQL databases including Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, InterBase and more. The service also includes API Hosting, Data Storage, Private Cloud Deployment, and Amazon, Rackspace, or On-Premise availability.
