Server capabilities

• Compress and password protect a scheduled report - Provides an option to compress, encrypt, and password protect scheduled reports. It also has the ability to configure a password policy.
• Parameterized report schedules - Provides an option to schedule a report with parameters.
• Web API data source - Web Report Designer supports designing reports with RESTful web services.
• Barcode - A new barcode report item has been added to the web-based Report Designer.
• Data set parameter - Support has been provided to link query parameters with report parameters.
• Unit switcher - Support has been added to the web-based Report Designer to change the report unit type when designing the report.
• Image report item autosizing - Report Viewer now has the capability to automatically size an image report item based on the original size of the image.

Desktop Report Designer

• Vector graphics - Support has been added for the vector graphics image formats EMF and WMF in reports.
• Query parameter type - Support has been provided to the data set designer to increase query performance by defining the type of SQL query parameters.
