Altova XMLSpy Enterprise XML Editor

• Improved conversion from XML Schema to JSON Schema.
• Added a setting for maximum nesting levels for XML sample generation - When generating sample XML instance documents based on recursive XML Schemas, it is possible to create a never-ending loop of nested elements. While in the past there was a built-in limit on the number of nesting levels, now the number is configurable so developers can customize sample generation based on the case at hand.
• Added the ability to save images in editing views - New features have been introduced in this release to make working with documents that contain images easier. When a cell in XML Grid or JSON Grid contains an image, it can now easily be saved separately using the right-click menu. Similarly, when image content is selected in Text View, the right-click context menu allows you to save it as an image/file.
• Added a new toolbar in Project Window - The XMLSpy Project Window provides a convenient way to organize related files, such as schema and instance documents, XSLT stylesheets, and so on, as well as perform batch operations on multiple files at once. In this release, a new toolbar in the Project Window provides quick access to several of the most common project-related operations, including adding and saving projects, adding files, expanding and collapsing folders, searching for files in the project, and reloading the project. The new toolbar makes it even easier to navigate and manage your XMLSpy projects.
• Added support for images in Project Window - When an XMLSpy project includes image files, the user can now see a preview of the image on mouseover and can double click to open the file in an image viewer.
• Added support for a <default> file type - XMLSpy has granular settings that allow developers to customize the behavior of XMLSpy on a per-file-type basis. In the Options dialog, you can now specify the default treatment of files when they are opened in XMLSpy: treatment will apply to files that have any extension that is not already in the file-type list.
• Code generation for Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 and Microsoft .NET 6 - For program code generation from XML Schema, XMLSpy now supports the latest version of Visual Studio as a target environment for C++ and C#. C# generation is also now available for the .NET 6 framework.
• Added support for XBRL Assertion Severity 2.0 - XBRL Assertion Severity is a standard for specifying severity levels to correspond to different types of XBRL data assertion checks. XBRL Assertion Severity is supported by both XMLSpy and RaptorXML+XBRL Server, with support added in this release for the latest version of the specification.
• Added support for additional database versions - XMLSpy now supports the latest versions of the following databases in addition to previous versions:

  • MySQL 8.0.28.
  • MariaDB 10.6.5.
  • SQLite 3.37.

Altova MapForce Enterprise Edition

• Added support for MongoDB clusters - Support for NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and CouchDB, was added to MapForce 2022. Release 2 now provides additional support for MongoDB clusters. In contrast to a single-server MongoDB database, a MongoDB cluster allows the database to either horizontally scale across many servers with sharding or to replicate data to increase performance and availability. MapForce can now connect to MongoDB clusters as well as single-server databases.
• Added support for XBRL Filing Indicators - Filing indicators are a mechanism used in template-based XBRL reporting systems that allow filers to explicitly state which templates or reporting units they have completed. When mapping to generate XBRL reports or write XBRL to other formats in MapForce, filing indicators are now supported.
• Added support for images in the Project Window - The MapForce Project Window now provides a convenient way to organize MapForce projects and related files. When a project folder contains an image file, you can now mouseover the filename to preview the image or double-click to open it in your default image viewer.
• Code generation for Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 and Microsoft .NET 6 - For code generation in C++ and C#, Visual Studio 2022 is now supported as a target development environment. C# generation is also now available for the .NET 6 framework.
• Added support for additional database versions - MapForce now supports the latest versions of the following relational databases in addition to previous versions:

• Added support for FOP 2.7 - For PDF generation, StyleVision now supports version 2.7 of the FOP processor.
• Added support for images in the Project Window - The StyleVision Project Window provides a convenient view for grouping, managing, and working with related files. Once collected in a project, files can be accessed easily from the Project sidebar when designing a report. When a project includes images, you can now preview (via mouseover) and open them directly from the Project Window.
• Added support for additional database versions - StyleVision now supports the latest versions of the following databases in addition to previous versions:
