One software license is required per user.
All PACE Suite licenses purchased after the PACE Suite 5.7 release will be per-user licenses, which grant the right to install and activate the Software on a single device only, unless a multi-environment license is purchased*.

PACE Suite components that perform capturing and testing can be run on any number of devices, i.e., computers and virtual machines, with no License activation restrictions.

There are three types of licenses:

• PACE Suite Freelancer is the best packaging solution for a freelancer or a private entrepreneur looking to facilitate the creation of custom software packages. Whether your business is to provide application packaging services to end customers or if you merely want to use PACE Suite for your personal packaging needs, the PACE Suite Freelancer license is exactly what you need.
• PACE Suite Enterprise is a perfect match for SMEs and large corporations. PACE Suite application packaging solution is a superior, fast and powerful tool allowing companies to easily manage internal software updates and migration projects. The Enterprise license allows software packaging operations within your company only and can't be used for commercial purposes. If you're intending to use PACE Suite for external business purposes, please consider upgrading to PACE Suite Service Provider License instead.
• PACE Suite Service Provider offers a simple, effective, flexible and cost efficient solution for companies that provide application management services for their end customers. If you want to increase your business scope and efficiency of application packaging services for your end customers, this is the license you are looking for.

Subscription license
Subscription license allows you to use the software during a certain period. When the license expires, you need to renew it to keep using the software. Upgrades and support are free as long as your license is valid.

Perpetual license
A perpetual license means utilizing the software as long as you want. Depending on the license type, maintenance is included and provides access to software upgrades and professional support.

Maintenance Renewal
To receive product updates and maintenance services you need to have active maintenance. Still, you can keep using your current version of the software without purchasing maintenance.

* Note: Customers who purchased before January 1st 2022 with an active Maintenance Subscription keep the right to install the Software for an unlimited number of computers and virtual machines inside the legal entity and to run the Software at a third party environment provided that the Software is used solely by the authorized number of unidentified users.
