Pricing is based on the number of production servers, based on tiers, and the length of your subscription. The lowest tier covers up to 5 production servers.

You can classify and catalog multiple databases on multiple instances. You will require one license per server, regardless of how many instances are on that server.

5 x Azure SQL Databases

• One SQL Data Catalog license allows you to classify and catalog up to 5 Azure SQL Databases. You can also connect to 1 x Azure Elastic Pool or 1 x Azure Managed Instance with one SQL Data Catalog license.

3 x production servers, 3 UAT servers, 2 development servers

• 1 x 5-server license.

5 x production servers on-premise, 8 production databases in Azure SQL DB

• 1 x 10-server license (equivalent 7 licenses are required).
