Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?
All commercial Flyway licenses are time-limited. They are subscription based and include updates and support for the duration of the subscription term.
What happens after my subscription expires?
You cannot continue to use the licensed product after your subscription period ends. Subscription license renewals are available.
Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?
Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or send us a message to discuss your needs.
Can I buy an old product version?
Redgate Software does not sell previous versions directly, but if you purchase a new license you may also download and use previous versions, provided your serial number is valid for that specific version. Please note that Redgate Software recommends to use the latest version.
Can I install my license on more than one machine?
Yes. Flyway is licensed per user, not per machine.
Can a license be transferred from one user to another?
No. Licenses cannot be transferred to another user.
What type of support do I get?
The Community license allows access to the community forums only.
The Teams and Enterprise licenses include free upgrades, and full support by email, forum, or phone.
Does Flyway require activation?
Yes. The Teams and Enterprise licenses require activation which can be done online or offline.
