The new version of Add-in Express for Microsoft Office and .net supporting Visual Studio 2012 is now available. It fully complies with Visual Studio 2012 User Interface guidelines and extends the IDE with wizards, designers and components that simplify developing Microsoft Office extensions.

Developers can use Visual Studio 2012 to create any type of Office extensibility projects including COM add-ins, Excel RTD servers, XLLs and UDFs. Also, for all Office application-level extensions, you can use .NET Framework 4.5 which is the target platform for Office 2013. In Visual Studio 2012, the Add-in Express architecture provides all the features available in previous Visual Studio versions such as selective Office version-neutrality, effective solution templates, advanced Outlook features, scalable Excel calculations and improved solution performance.
