SQL Monitor 4 released

Identify performance bottlenecks using wait stats.
February 12, 2014
Feature Release

SQL Monitor monitors the health and activity of your SQL Servers, providing you with intelligent alerts and recommendations via an intuitive interface and by email. It provides Web-based monitoring so you can monitor server performance in real time on desktop machines and mobile devices. Check global, machine, cluster, server and database performance at a glance and generate reports for full historical data.

Updates in 4.0

  • Top 10 Waits table helps identify what types of waits are affecting the system, how long SQL Server spent waiting and which queries were affected (Instance overview only).
  • Top 10 Queries table helps identify which queries use the most resources and how long they take to execute.
  • Support added for deadlock trace flag 1222, for SQL Server 2005 and later.
  • Rewind time control redesigned. Buttons representing common time increments let you go back and forward in time more quickly.
  • A warning icon is displayed to make it easier to see which instances have a trace enabled.
  • Instance overview shows five databases and collapses the others in an expandable list, so it is easier to see the performance data and diagnostics.
