SQL Data Compare 12.0

Updated User Interface aligns with new common design guidelines.
September 21, 2016
New Version

Features

  • New User Interface (UI) - Overhauled UI of SQL Data Compare aligns with Redgate's new common design guidelines. Improves the underlying codebase and fixes over 200 UI related bugs.
  • Parallel registration - When registering from a live database, scripts folder, or source control, SQL Data Compare will now register both data sources at the same time, rather than waiting for your source to finish before starting on the target. This should speed up the comparison considerably.
  • Login based licensing - SQL Data Compare now asks you to sign in when you launch the program. The new user account licensing makes it much easier for you to keep track of the tools you own and to move them between different machines.
  • Removed features in SQL Data Compare 12:
    • SQL Server 2000 support.
    • The fast deploy project option.
    • Print preview of the comparison results (“Tools -> Generate comparison results report” should now be used instead).
