Altova FlowForce Server 2021

Improves logging functionality.
October 14, 2020
New Version

Features

Completely overhauled logging functionality - FlowForce Server now provides more comprehensive, easy-to-navigate server and job logging functionality for faster management and troubleshooting.

  • New Log View - Allows you to view as many or as few records as required and then copy a permalink for that exact view to share or re-open later. The navigation bar lets you filter the results to view records from a particular date range or time, as well as to filter results based on minimum severity (info, warning, error), and object path.
    • You can now also export records in the current view to a JSON file.
  • Instance Log - Clicking an instance ID in the main log view opens the new instance log, which lists the steps executed, including interactions of for-each steps, how many times the job was retried, and streams produced by executing mappings or by the command line function.
  • Logging Settings - New logging settings are available that let administrators configure whether certain logging details should be stored or skipped for logging purposes. You can also configure the level of logging detail based on the job outcome. For example, on job failure, you might want to keep full tracing information in the log, whereas on successful execution you might want to keep only the most basic data.
    • You can configure certain logging settings not only at the application level, but also for specific FlowForce Server objects only (e.g. jobs).
