New licenses for AdminStudio Standard are no longer available, however you may continue to renew your existing maintenance for perpetual licenses. If you are interested in new licenses please see AdminStudio Professional or AdminStudio Enterprise.

On 01-Sep-2021, Revenera/Flexera changed the licensing model of the InstallShield and AdminStudio product lines. All new licenses are now 3 year non-perpetual Timed Subscription licenses. Perpetual licenses are no longer available for purchase. At the end of the Timed Subscription, you have to renew the Subscription to continue to create new/edit existing installation scripts. If you have an existing Perpetual License with Maintenance Plan that was purchased before 1-Sep-2021 AND that Bronze/Silver/Gold Maintenance Plan has not expired, you can renew that active Maintenance Plan for an additional year. If you let that Perpetual License Maintenance Plan expire, you will be required to buy a new Timed Subscription (non-perpetual) license to continue to receive upgrades and support.

Features

  • Extended Support for Intune Deployment Data - A new Scope Tags sub-tab has been introduced under Intune Deployment Data. Scope Tags are used to organize and control access to packages by tagging them, which helps improve management through role-based access in Microsoft Intune.
  • Support for PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) version 4.0 - AdminStudio now supports PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) version 4, enabling wrapping to the latest toolkit while maintaining backward compatibility with PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) v3. The solution offers comprehensive importing capabilities for both PSADT v3 and v4 packages, along with editing features for customization. AdminStudio delivers functionality for conversions, deployments, and backlog automation across both PSADT versions, creating a future-ready platform for managing PowerShell-wrapped deployments across modern enterprise environments.
  • Expanded Package Support in Package Feed Module (PFM) - The Package Feed Module (PFM) has been significantly enhanced with the addition of approximately 2000 new packages, increasing the total package coverage from 8800 to 11000 approximately. This enables user to benefit from a more comprehensive and diverse package feed support.
  • Streamlined Migration Process with Package Selection - With this update, users can now select additional packages along with the existing application during the migration process. With this enhancement, you can now either choose directly from the tree or enter keywords into the search field to find and select the desired applications/packages.
  • PowerShell Cmdlets / REST API Enhancements - The following new Cmdlets and REST APIs have been added:
    • ASIntuneScopeTags - fetches all the Scope Tags that are available in the specified Intune connection.
    • ASScopeTags - fetches scope tags added to specified package present in application catalog.
    • ASScopeTags - add scope tags to specified package present in application catalog.
    • ASScopeTags - removes scope tags from the specified package in the application catalog.
    • ASPackageFeedSync - syncs the package feed data.
    • ASWrapPackage - converts a Windows Installer (.msi) or installation package (.exe) to a wrapped package file (.ps1/.exe).
  • Now features InstallShield 2025 R1.
