Features

• Altova AI for database query and design
  • DatabaseSpy 2026r2 supports optional integration with the new Altova AI Server, which is available as an add-on subscription. The Altova AI Server is an Altova-hosted AI service that DatabaseSpy can connect to. AI functionality previously available in DatabaseSpy that was unlocked using the developers Open AI key is now available via the Altova AI Server - no Open AI account required. An Altova AI subscription enables built-in, context-aware AI assistance for:
    • Generating SQL statements.
    • Creating table relations.
    • Generating sample data.
    • Explaining complex SQL.
  • Altova AI Subscription
    • Altova AI is available via a subscription that customers purchase in addition to their product license. A Support and Maintenance Package (SMP) is required for purchasing Altova AI. Customers may purchase an Altova AI subscription at the same time as a new SMP or add it to an existing SMP subscription.
• Additional speed improvements
  • In Version 2026, huge speed improvements for data retrieval were introduced in DatabaseSpy, making working with thousands or even millions of records extremely fast. In DatabaseSpy 2026r2 additional optimizations have been implemented to improve performance even further.
• Updated database support
  • Functionality for databases supported by DatabaseSpy is often updated to include the latest versions. In DatabaseSpy 2026, support has been updated to include PostgreSQL 18.
