Certificate verification.

Certificate verification.

View the list of SSL certificates provided by your site and the chains of trusts that browsers can use for HTTPS connections to it. Warnings and errors are displayed for certificates that are insecure, expired or are missing require a separate download. Browsers and other clients will only trust an HTTPS site after traversing the list of certificates provided by the server until they find a trusted root certificate from a Certificate Authority. These Trust Paths are displayed within SSLRobot.

Check TLS and SSL protocol versions.

Check TLS and SSL protocol versions.

SSLRobot checks your site to see which SSL and TLS protocol versions are supported by your server. Outdated protocols are highlighted as being insecure and a warning is displayed if the site doesn't support the latest TLS version.

Fast and simple testing of SSL sites.

Fast and simple testing of SSL sites.

Just run the SSLRobot application on your desktop computer to quickly test a secure web site without having admin access to the server or using a third party service. Checks normally complete within seconds. Unlike web based SSL testing services SSLRobot can be used to check private web sites on your local network or intranet.

Overall security grading applied to each site tested.

Overall security grading applied to each site tested.

A single security grade from F to A+ is displayed for each site tested to give an indication of the relative security of the site. Untrusted sites are assigned the letter T. The grading of a site can be improved by addressing the warnings and errors displayed within SSLRobot.

SSL/TLS internal details.

SSL/TLS internal details.

SSLRobot displays a complete list of the encryption ciphers supported by your site and highlights those considered to be insecure or to have weak strength. The Details section of SSLRobot displays information about Strict Transport Security(HSTS), Forward Secrecy and Downgrade Attack Prevention.

Advanced protocol detection.

Advanced protocol detection.

SSLRobot checks the ALPN and NPN settings on the server to see if HTTP/2 and other advanced protocols are advertised as being available. Significant performance gains can be achieved with modern web browsers on web sites that support HTTP/2.
