The Community License allows you to freely download and use the Smart.Table, Smart.Menu, Smart.Tabs and Smart.Tree components, for personal, private, company internal, or commercial purposes. It is provided without warranty and requires that you keep the license and copyright notice included in the JavaScript files when you use them in your works. It is licensed under the permissive Apache v2 license.

Commercial Licenses

New commercial licenses are available as Single Developer, Team, or Unlimited Licenses. They include technical support and updates to newer versions for 1 year. Enterprise/OEM Licenses are also available for large organizations with multiple subsidiaries and affiliates.

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

The commercial licenses are available as perpetual licenses, they all include one year of support, maintenance and upgrades.

Can I upgrade / downgrade my license?

If you no longer have an active subscription, you may purchase a renewal to receive new versions for another year. It is not possible to downgrade to an earlier version. Smart HTML Elements recommends to always use the latest version.

Can I add more developers to my license?

Yes. Additional licenses and multi-developer licenses are available.

What is the difference between a Developer license and an OEM license?

OEM Licenses are suitable for large organizations with multiple subsidiaries and affiliates or companies interested in OEM licensing options. They offer customized agreements, and Platinum Support.

What type of support do I get?

Commercial licenses include technical support for 1 year after purchase.

  • Premium Support is valid for 1 year and up to 40 support tickets / Unlimited 1st month. You will receive professional response within 24 hours, Mon-Fri.
  • Platinum Support is valid for 1 year and up to 200 support tickets / Unlimited 1st month. You will receive professional response within 24 hours, Mon-Fri.
What happens after my support period ends?

For perpetual licenses you will no longer receive technical support and updates, but you can continue to use the product. You can choose to purchase a maintenance renewal at around 50% of the price of a new license. All license renewals provide a further 12 months of technical support, plus access to new versions.

Do I need separate licenses for production and build machines?

No. The licensing is not per-machine and therefore additional licenses are not necessary for production servers, test and build machines. The product is licensed per-developer seat.

Can I buy an old product version?

No. Legacy versions are not available. Smart HTML Elements recommends to always use the latest version.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Yes. Licenses can be transferred to a different developer. Licenses apply to the seat rather than the individual.
