All Editions are licensed per server. Personal and Professional Edition Licenses are Perpetual. Enterprise Edition Licenses are Annual and must be renewed each year.

Software Assurance (SA) is available for Personal and Professional Edition Licenses. SA includes minor and major updates for one year.

Software Assurance (SA) is included in the Enterprise Edition.
