Oxygen Content Fusion V6.1

Released: Feb 5, 2024

Updates in V6.1

Features

Authentication

  • Single Sign On Support Using OpenID Connect - Content Fusion can now be configured to use an OpenID Connect provider (such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID) to allow users to authenticate using the organization's Single Sign On system. If users have an existing Content Fusion account (created via LDAP or sign up) using the same email address as the one obtained via OpenID Connect, then they will be able to use the OpenID Connect to login to their existing account.

Review Tasks

  • Due Date for Review Tasks - You can now manage deadlines by setting a Due Date when creating a review task. The due date can be modified if needed and is visible in various places in the user interface. The reviewers will receive email notifications to remind them that they need to finalize their review in time.
  • Comment-only Reviewers Edit Mode - When sharing a task with reviewers, you can control if they have full edit access, or more limited access to add comments and suggest changes, or to only allow the reviewers to add comments. The new Comment only option that is available in the Reviewers edit mode section of the Task Settings page allows task owners to limit the reviewers to only have the ability to add comments on content (without changing it), ensuring that the document content is always seen in its original form by all reviewers.
  • Option to Request Re-review - Task owners now have the option to request re-review of the task from all the reviewers. They can request a new review of the task when they re-open the task or by using the Request re-review button that appears in the pop-up window when clicking the Finalized drop-down widget that is displayed under the task name when the task is in the In Review state. This resets the status of the review from Finalized to In Progress for all reviewers and they will also be notified via email that there is a request to review the task again. When a review restarts, the reviewers will be able to see what files changed since they last finalized their review.
  • Better Control of the Finalized Review Status - When a user marks a review task as Finalized, it remains in that review state even when other collaborators make changes to documents within the task. The Finalized state will change to In progress for that particular user only if they make changes to the task documents, or if a task owner either re-opens the task or requests a re-review of the task.
  • Review Status Information - The status information of a review task is presented under the task name. This shows the number of reviewers assigned and how many total reviewers have finalized their review. If the review is in progress, it presents a drop-down that opens a pop-up window where you can see the list of all the reviewers and their finalized review status, as well as some actions that make sense in the particular context (for example, an action to request a re-review).
  • Integrated Review Status - Review tasks that are created from the Content Fusion add-on in Oxygen XML Editor/Author, or as non-project tasks from the web interface, can now be marked as Integrated when the review is closed. The tasks in the Integrated state cannot be edited and are hidden by default, thus enabling you to remain focused only on the tasks that you are actively working on. In the web interface, the hidden integrated tasks can be displayed on demand.
  • Upload Files to a Review Task - Users can now upload files in a review task within the Content Fusion browser interface. These files will appear in the list of files to be reviewed for the particular task.
  • Reviewers Can Now Create New Files in a Review Task - Reviewers now have the ability to suggest adding new content in a review task by creating a new file from a template. This makes it possible to create new files directly from the Content Fusion browser interface. Previously, only task owners had this ability.
  • Show Document Titles for Review Tasks Created From a Project - Content Fusion now displays the document titles instead of file names for files included in a review task that was created from a project. This makes it easier to identify and open a particular file. If the titles change during the review process, users can update them in the task files list on demand (by using the Update Titles button).
  • List of Review Tasks is Sortable - It is now easier to find the tasks that need your attention by sorting the columns in the list of tasks by name, due date, or review status.
  • Track Task Evolution in Task Activity - The Task activity page has been redesigned to make it easier to see changes made by collaborators. You can now click on the highlighted file name for a particular change listed in the Task activity view and it will open the two versions of the document in a file comparison view so that you can clearly see the differences.

Security

  • Improved TLS Security - The TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384 weak cipher is no longer accepted.
