Released: Mar 28, 2018
Updates in v8.0
Features
SQL Toolbelt includes the following updates:
SQL Monitor 8.0
- Grouped Alert Inbox
- Group all of your alerts into easy-to-manage sections in your inbox.
- See, at a glance, where problems are and what to do with them, without them getting lost in the noise of a busy alerting system.
- Select a group to expand the full list of alerts and explore the cause of the issue.
- Distributed Monitoring
- Install one base monitor per location, whether that’s geographically separate data centers or networks that run separately within one place, without the need to install separate dashboards.
- Monitor all of your locations accurately from one SQL Monitor dashboard without bandwidth or security being compromised.
- Group locations however you want, and easily scale (one base monitor can comfortably cover 200 servers), to keep track of your growing estate you can simply add more base monitors.
- Database File Growth Alerts
- Displays the size of the disk and how much has been used.
- View a data-usage trend line, based on historical growth data, and when this will likely intersect capacity (and potentially trigger auto-growth).
- Gain better understanding and project growth.
- Set up alerts to tell you how much extra space you need and when you are likely to need it, which can help with planning and minimizing down time.
- New Query History Graph
- Helps you to easily and quickly see trends from the impact of queries.
- Detects when an execution plan changes and marks it on the timeline.
- Warns you where changes have occurred that could be causing problems.
- New visualizations to manage deadlocks.
- Improved blocking process information and visualizations.
- Further Redgate deployment tool integration to include ReadyRoll and DLM Automation.
- A bulk importer and import API, to give you a quicker and easier way to add new servers.
