DevExpress

DevExpress (Developer Express) is a software development company based in the United States. It produces coding assistance tools and components for Delphi, C++ Builder and Microsoft Visual Studio developers. The major part of its product line is VCL, .NET WinForms and ASP.NET components that replicate the UI of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications. DevExpress has won many industry awards for its products.

WPCubed

WPCubed GmbH is a privately owned company based in Munich, Germany. WPCubed have been providing development tools since 1996. Their flagship product is WPTools, a well known and successful word-processing component suite. Their PDF products, which have been available since 2000, are also used by thousands of developers worldwide. Although mainly supporting Delphi and C++Builder, WPCubed are expanding to other platforms to give more developers access to their powerful tools. The recently introduced PDFControl and RTF2PDF DLL's, allow access to PDF technology for almost any developer.

What is a VCL? VCL, short for Visual Component Library, is a type of component or control that you can use in Delphi or call from C++ Builder. A Delphi component can be used to add functionality to your Delphi application or project, without spending a lot of time writing it yourself.

Typical examples of Delphi components are: Delphi PDF, Delphi grid & Delphi chart controls. The Delphi VCL or Delphi control products that you find listed here in this VCL product gallery can also be used to carry out non-visual tasks.
