It enables developers to create, manipulate and convert most commonly used email message formats without worrying about the complexities of the underlying format. The API can be used for email management including message content editing, attachment manipulation, management of message storage files and sending/receiving emails via a number of protocols (POP3, IMAP and SMTP).
