Prerequisites

The SQL Comparison SDK requires programming skills, if using the APIs, and is designed for use in Visual Studio .NET or a similar IDE designed for .NET development. Alternatively, you could use the command-line utilities or, if you wish to manage database changes without writing any code, SQL Compare, SQL Data Compare, and SQL Packager might be more suitable for your needs.

Software Required: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008. SQL Server 2000, 2005 or 2008, SQL Server client-side tools. MDAC 2.8, .NET Framework 2.0 or later, Visual Studio .NET, or similar development environment that uses the .NET Framework, if using APIs.
Runs on a user's PC (can also run on a server)
Please note that this product has not been tested on an Itanium server.
