This is a great component! I use it for displaying report information as well as programmatically filling in forms for printing and it works perfectly. The documentation is lacking but they do have a forum on their website which they monitor so you can get questions answered there. They also advertise support is available but I have always got answers through the forum.

The program pretty much works as advertised. Help/documentation is weak. I had a problem printing legal size pages. I used the email support and got a fix within 24 hours. The fix was not documented but worked. With better documentation I'd rate this 5 stars, well worth your consideration.

TX is usable for an easy word processor with basic functions, but if you want to use features like HTML, PDF or working with MS Word documents, forget it. Exporting to PDF still creates poor quality documents, HTML is buggy as long as I can think about it and support for any MS Word feature other than basic text handling is not available. Even Word's picture handling is not compatible to TX. Table handling is still awfull, even in version 11. Examples: You are not able to select a single column, getting a cursor or mouse position in a table might not work (depending on several issues) and a table covering more than one page might crash your app completely. The product is very good and well thought through.

The product is very fast and is extremely easy to use, however it has a few drawbacks. Whilst the manufacturer may claim that it supports Word documents, it omits some of their functionality. One such obvious omission is that the tables that you create can not contain child tables (subtables). This may inhibit what you want to do with the control. Other than that it's a nice, fast product.

This product is stable and has a short learning curve. I am using it as a reporting tool and it is far easier to implement than others I've tried. Tech support has been prompt and courteous. TX's Web Site Support Forum is active and a very useful source to get answers to programming problems.

I downloaded the demo and tried this control. Doesn't work with ADO or the data environment. Help file and documentation are not good and support from the author is non-existent. Big support page with hundreds and hundreds of questions and no answers. Everyone that I contacted has had problems with this control.

Overall, I'd rate the product as excellent, and contrary to other reviews, I've had all of my forum questions answered, usually in a day. The only drawback I've yet found are problems importing documents created in older versions of word, and a rather inadequate search and replace feature (i.e. no replace without a dialog except by the select and replace selection method, no built in case matching, no "whole words only" feature, no search wildcards, no soundex or word forms search, and no special character search). Mind you, it's possible to DO all this, but you have to build it yourself. For the price, you shouldn't have to add that kind of basic search and replace functionality.
