From January 1st 2024 licenses can still be purchased however only licensing support will be provided. The MESCIUS ActiveReports v2 forum will remain open indefinitely, and the knowledge base will continue to be populated with existing solutions.

This is really a terrific product. If there is a weak spot, it's the documentation, and one feature hardly ever mentioned is the fact that you can build COM calls right into the report... through AddNamedItem, your report can "call back" to a VB class, allowing for custom formatting, string parsing, that sort of thing. This feature makes it almost rival Access's report generator; Access may be slightly more powerful and slightly easier to use (emphasis on the slight), but the fact that ActiveReports can squeeze all their power into a fairly reasonably-size component and XML, sharable report files is pretty incredible. I'm very, very happy.
