We had a requirement to digitize approval and contract creation. During this project, we had to assess products that could convert MS Word to HTML format. Our developer has tried several products to perform the conversion for our legal document. So far Aspose.Words is the best, due to the accurate alignment, automatic numbering, font settings, and the original format are preserved as it is when converted into HTML. It can also accurately handle symbols and spacing where other libraries usually fail to preserve. Most crucial aspect we find helpful is that it supports .doc type file and its quite intuitive to develop with.
