Perpetual Licenses - Named

UltraFinder is available as a perpetual license for Named Users. You may install the software on up to 3 machines, on any combination of supported platforms, provided you are the sole user of the software. All licenses include technical support.

UltraFinder is available as a perpetual license for Concurrent Users, for use in an environment where the license can be accessed by an unspecified number of users. Only the licensed number may access it at one time. All licenses include technical support.

Previous Versions

Access to previous versions of UltraEdit applications is currently only available through email. Please email support@ultraedit.com with your current license information, and UltraEdit will provide you with the version you are eligible for.

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

UltraFinder is available as a Perpetual License. When you purchase a license, you are free to use the software in perpetuity.

Can I upgrade / downgrade my license?

Yes. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Can I add more developers to my license?

It is possible to co-term new licenses to the same date as existing licenses, but it is no longer possible to combine license keys, or add new licenses to an existing license key.

What type of support do I get?

All UltraFinder licenses come with technical support via email. Visit the UltraEdit Support Page for further information.

Does UltraFinder require online / offline activation?

UltraEdit products support offline activation.

Can I buy an old product version?

UltraEdit do not sell previous versions directly, however purchasing a license will provide the customer with a key for the current version, which will also work with previous versions. UltraEdit will provide a paid customer with a link to download a previous version, but please note that there is limited support for previous versions.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Yes, provided the license is owned and disseminated by the developer's employer. The license includes built-in protections so that its permitted use is not exceeded. Licensing within a corporate environment is per-unique-user, per-system. The unique user can be reassigned as is reasonable for typical employee turnover. However if a "floating" license is needed, where multiple people might be accessing the license on a single system, a concurrent license purchase would be required.

Is there a discount for academic use?

Yes. Fully functional discounted educational versions are available to non-profit educational institutions.
