New Subscriptions

ComponentOne products are licensed per-developer, and are perpetual. New subscriptions entitle you to one year of free upgrades. You can continue to use the purchased product after your subscription period ends.

Subscription Renewals

After your subscription expires, you can renew to receive another year of upgrades, bug fixes and new features. If you choose not to renew, you can continue using the last version you are eligible to use.

Upgrades are available from any previous version of the same product (e.g. from any version of ComponentOne Studio LightSwitch to the latest version of ComponentOne Studio LightSwitch), and include a 1 Year Subscription.

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

All ComponentOne / Wijmo licenses are permanent. A license entitles you to one year of free upgrades, including bug fixes and new features. You can continue to use the purchased product after your subscription period ends.

What happens after my subscription expires?

After one year, you are no longer entitled to updates, but you may continue to use the products received with your subscription after your subscription has expired.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade my license?

Upgrades are available from any previous version of the same product (e.g. from any version of ComponentOne Studio LightSwitch to the latest version of ComponentOne Studio LightSwitch).

Can I buy an old product version?

Please contact us to request an older version.

Is Source Code available?

Yes - source code is available upon request. Please contact us for more information.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Licenses are per-developer. A developer may install their license on up to three machines.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Licenses may be transferred from one developer to another or from one server to another. In this case, the original copy must be completely removed from the original developer's machine (or from the original server).

What type of support do I get?

Standard Support is included with all subscriptions. It includes:

  • Access to hotfix builds
  • Forums
  • Online support
  • The option to email your project for analysis

Platinum Support includes all entitlements of Standard Support, plus:

  • 24 Hour FastTrack Response (excluding weekends and observed US holidays)
  • Phone Support
