The FinalBuilder GUI simplifies build automation by providing and easy to use IDE for visually creating automated build projects.

You can edit FinalBuilder IDE's Design Time Options through the General IDE Options settings. You can also change other settings for .NET Tools, Build Tools, Help Compilers, Archivers, Version Control Systems, Install Builders, Compilers, Source Code Tools, Licensing, Internet, Windows OS and others.

Select from a number of different compilers, Borland Delphi, JDK Configuration, MadExcept, Borland Delphi for .NET, Visual C++ 6, Visual Basic 6, Visual Studio .NET, Chrome and IncrediBuild.

The Set Build Status Message action allows you to add a custom message to the Build Status screen. This message can be anything you like - so for example it could be "Running Compilers" or "Building source code". It's a message that will give you an indication as to what the current progress of the build is.

FinalBuilder allows you to create and use your own actions. To create Custom Actions use ActionStudio, which is available from the Start menu, or from the Tools menu in FinalBuilder. ActionStudio allows you to create Actions using JScript, VBScript, any .NET language, and via COM.

In design mode you can see the Project, Action Types and Action Inspector, the Action Lists and the Build Log and Script Editor.

In Build Summary Mode you can see Running Statistics, Running Actions and the Build History.

FinalBuilder works with a number of different Version Control Systems such as CVS, StarTeam, Team Coherence, QVCS, Vault, Perforce, SVN, ClearCase, PVCS, Visual Source Safe, AccuRev, JediVCS, MKS Source, Team Foundation Source Control and PureCM.

FinalBuilder lets you select which installer actions you would like to be available, you can choose from a number of industry leading installation packages such as InstallShield, WISE, Inno Setup, QSC GP-Install, InstallAnywhere, Nullsoft Installer (NSIS), InstallAware, Advanced Installer and WiX Compiler and Linker.
