We can supply any ActiveReports.NET license including new subscriptions, subscription renewals, lapsed subscription renewals, and additional developer licenses.

New Licenses

ActiveReports.NET is licensed per-developer. Dependent on geographic location, licenses may be available as an Annual (Timed) Subscription License or as a Perpetual License with or without a 1 Year Support and Update Maintenance Subscription. Timed Licenses need to be renewed each year to continue to use the software.

Renewals

After your Annual (Timed) Subscription License expires, you can renew to receive another year of software usage, upgrades, bug fixes and new features. If you do not renew you must stop using the software. For Perpetual Licenses with a 1 Year Support and Update Maintenance Subscription, if you choose not to renew the maintenance, you can continue using the last version you are eligible to use.

Dependent on geographic location upgrades may be available. These upgrades are for perpetual licenses of previous versions of the same product or for upgrading from the Standard to Professional edition.

Previous Versions

If you require an earlier version of ActiveReports.NET, you can purchase a license for a the current version, and MESCIUS (formerly GrapeCity) will be glad to provide you with the version of the product that you need. Simply submit a support ticket to MESCIUS (formerly GrapeCity).

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

Dependent on geographic location, licenses may be available as an Annual (Timed) Subscription License or as a Perpetual License with or without a 1 Year Support and Update Maintenance Subscription.

What happens after my subscription expires?

Annual (Timed) Subscription Licenses
If you do not renew your subscription license you will no longer be able to develop with the controls. If you need to build and compile new applications, or make updates to existing applications you will need to purchase an Annual Subscription License.

Perpetual Licenses
If you do not renew your maintenance subscription, you are no longer entitled to updates or support, but you may continue to use the version of the product you received during your active maintenance subscription.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade?

Upgrades may be available dependent on geographic location. The upgrade is for perpetual licenses from previous versions of the same product or to upgrade from the Standard to Professional edition.

Can I buy an old product version?

MESCIUS (formerly GrapeCity) does not offer previous versions for sale directly, but if you purchase a new license for ActiveReports.NET, MESCIUS (formerly GrapeCity) will provide you with the version of the product that you need. Please contact us to request an older version.

Do I need to buy a license for my build machine?

Yes. You need a separate license for your build machines.

Do I need to purchase licenses for my customers?

No. ActiveReports.NET includes royalty-free redistribution. As long as your customers are using ActiveReports.NET as part of your product that they purchase, then they do not need a license. The assemblies required to run ActiveReports.NET may be included as part of your product installation at no additional cost.

Published applications are Royalty Free and do not expire, however if you have an Annual (Timed) Subscription License and do not renew the license you will no longer be able to develop with the components. If you need to build and compile new applications, or make updates to existing applications you will need to purchase an Annual Subscription License.

Is Source Code available?

No. Source Code is not available for ActiveReports.NET.

What type of support do I get?

All licensed users have access to the ActiveReports Forums, which have an active customer base and input from the technical support team.

Users with urgent questions can submit a ticket through MESCIUS (formerly GrapeCity)'s online form.

Users with a current Annual Maintenance subscription can contact the technical support team via phone, and unlimited tickets. Annual maintenance is an additional component, which can be purchased with a new license of ActiveReports.
