Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

MadCap Capture licenses are perpetual, and you may continue using the software indefinitely after purchase. For further information, please see the License Agreement.

Can I add a new license / previous version to my existing MadCap Software account?

Yes. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Can I buy an old product version?

MadCap Software does not sell previous versions directly, but purchasing any new license gives you access to download older versions of the same product.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Yes. Each license can be installed on two different machines, as long as they are both on different domains.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Yes. You can deactivate your license from within the Help Ribbon, or the MadCap support team can help you transfer a license to another developer.

What type of support do I get?

MadCap Capture licenses do not include a maintenance and support subscription. However MadCap Capture is also available as part of MadCap Flare, which includes Platinum maintenance subscription which provides product upgrades and updates, unlimited priority email and telephone support, access to the Senior Engineer support team, access to the knowledge base and forums, and the option to send projects directly to the support team for analysis. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Pacific Time).

Does this product require online / offline activation?

No. MadCap Capture does not require activation.
